HER NAME WAS SUZIE SHE DREW A BIG WEINER ON MY FOREHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Īll dwarves are rotund and neckbearded, even the femalesĭefinitely a dealbreaker if you're seeking a refuge from STEM weinerbros ASK ME ABOUT THE TIME A GIRL BEAT ME UP IN GRADE SCHOOL. I LIKE TO MAKE VAGUE THREATS TO PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET BECAUSE I AM TOUGH GUY. I, too, am not sure what gets df singled out as being the dude game ![]() If I'm misremembering please correct me! I also usually turned raids off unless I was explicitly trying to play on hard mode because I mostly enjoyed building weird little dwarven societies so I get that. IIRC there are some (completely optional and ignorable) ordinances you can pass that are kind of lovely upholding the nuclear family type stuff but I think there's also some explicitly codifying gender equality too? I haven't played in a while, I remember you can explicitly legalize gay marriage and I think there's other social choices along those lines.Īlso, I promise I'm not trying to argue or anything but I'm wondering how DF is a sausagefest? I'm one of those people who hasn't played the past little while because I get so involved trying to create the perfect world that by the time I've generated it I ran out of time to actually play, but at least when I was playing the only difference I can remember between male and female dwarves was that the lady dwarves would carry their babies around with them for the first little while after they were born, whether in the forge or into battle or whatever. I'm not sure if tropico 3 is available on Android but I know it's on iPhone and I'd second that recommendation. If she wants "DF without the sausage fest" then CK3 with those optional rules toggled on gets pretty close And, again, you can just play with full gender equality or matriarchies if you want to avoid the medieval Europe sausagefests from the get-go. Most AI characters are barely "characters" but they have traits that steer their motivations and goals. Warfare is kind of inevitable but it's entirely possible to play through it as peacefully as possible, using marriage and diplomacy to expand your realm + keep it stable, and only raise troops when necessary to defend yourself. I strongly still recommend she looks into Crusader Kings 3. Why rely on violence? Dwarf Fortress sans goblin raids and sausagefest would be pretty great. In general, although she had a long love affair with Civ, she's played it out, and her ideal 4x would let her play at her own pace and not have any fighting at all. She *needs* her entertainment to (a) NOT have dudes duding it up, (b) not waste her time, and (c) ideally have compelling and interesting characters with motivations beyond shooting and sex. We have young kids and relaxation time is precious-to-nonexistent. ![]() She is hyper-sensitive to having voices on all sides assuming (without giving her a chance to prove it) that she can't possibly know what she's talking about or have the skills that she professes to have. My wife is an extremely well-credentialed and competent person who works in tech and day-in, day-out, gets the joy of dealing with the kinds of men who are drawn to math and compsci. I'll try to explain it a little better than I did. Oni, 2pt Hospital, Stardew, and others may be decent recs. ![]() She has tried and not been at all interested in Chrono Trigger. First, KOTOR is a great rec and one that she's already played (1, not 2).
